Instinctive Travels is an independent record label operating out of Sydney, Australia.
Sub-label, Basement Digs, proudly brings you the Stones Throw catalogue in Australia and also places a special emphasis on reissuing rare Australian jazz records.
Current jazz re-issues - Colours, Charles the First, No 1 & Bells Make Me Sing – are much sought after from the Basement Digs catalogue. Colours is a fantastic four track album from Australian jazz pianist Judy Bailey and her Quartet and was first released on the Eureka label back in 1976; Charles the First from Charles Hull is the funkiest album you’ve never heard; No 1 is the all-time swinging-est Aussie Jazz/Hard-Lounge albums ever by the Ted Vining Trio; and Bells Make Me Sing is simply a must have reissue from Australian Jazz legend Brian Brown.
Basement Digs is also excited to bring you the latest from Stones Throw which boasts an illustrious line up of releases - Madlib, Oh No, Percee P (featured artist), Yesterday’s New Quintet and also the latest Chrome Children compilation, Chrome Children 2, featuring Stones Throw’s finest. This is another unbelievably massive year.
Incantation Records continues the Rasa journey with, Rasa Mello III, the follow up to RasaMello and RasaMello II. Produced, conceived & selected by DJ Donna D'Cruz this diverse collection of songs encompasses everything from the raggaed-out remix of Pink Floyd's 'Breathe' to the spacious and full-bodied orchestrations of Cyril Morin. This unique compilation features many unreleased tracks and sheds a new light on what it means to be Mello.
Also to be found among the gems in the Incantations catalogue are the ever-popular titles from Deepak Chopra including the luxury 2CD set, Chakra Balancing; The Soul of Healing; A Gift of Love 1 and A Gift of Love 2.
